    To get a nice creamy taste, add a little cream or low-fat sour cream. It turns out very tasty and unusual if you grate any smoked cheese on a fine grater (like “Yantar”). It completely dissolves and becomes invisible, but gives a spicy smoky flavor.

    For this dish you can use any vegetables and vegetable mixtures. The main thing is that you like it and it looks harmonious in color. It will turn out very beautiful if there are many different colors. For example, broccoli or green beans, carrots and a mixture of peppers.

    From ready-made mixtures, it turns out delicious and beautiful with the mixture "Ratatouille". This includes tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, onions, and zucchini.

    Cooking the dish “Rice with vegetables in a frying pan” is similar to the previous recipe, but the cooking method is slightly different. Meanwhile, everything turns out just as delicious.

    You will need:

    • Rice 400g;
    • Vegetable oil;
    • Vegetables 500g (any at your discretion);
    • Greenery;
    • Salt, sugar, spices to taste.

    1. We start by cleaning and cutting the vegetables, then fry them thoroughly. After they are sufficiently browned, add pre-washed rice to them. And simmer everything for about thirty minutes so that the rice warms up and absorbs the juices released by the vegetables.

    2.Then add two glasses of water to the pan and simmer for ten minutes over low heat.

    3.Add spices and continue to simmer until the rice has absorbed all the water. You can serve it with any meat dish or salad.

    How to cook rice with vegetables in a pot

    Dishes cooked in the oven differ from the usual cooking method in that they are not only tasty, but also healthier. This method is very convenient for preparing various porridges, which turn out to be richer in taste. Rice with vegetables in a pot cooked in the oven is no exception.

    To prepare the dish you will need:

    • rice (1.5 cups);
    • vegetables 300g (fresh or frozen);
    • spices;
    • broth or water;
    • You can add meat if you wish.

    1. Let's move on to cooking. First, fry the vegetables in a frying pan. Pour pre-washed rice into the pot. Place fried vegetables on top.

    2. Make the proportions individually, taking into account your preferences. Now fill the pot with water or, preferably, broth. Don't forget about seasonings.

    3. If you decide to serve meat with rice, then the ideal option would be lamb, beef or pork.

    4.Cover with lids and place in the oven, preheated to two hundred degrees. The cooking time is about an hour. When the rice with vegetables in a pot is ready, we recommend sprinkling finely chopped herbs on top.

    Rice with meat and vegetables - one might say a dish for the lazy. At least in the version I propose. For cooking you will need meat, carrots, leeks and rice (preferably basmati). In this case, the recipe has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. But it cannot be compared with pilaf. However, the result is so good that this recipe has taken root in our family a long time ago.

    This recipe for rice with meat and vegetables was suggested to me by Shiromi, our friends’ housekeeper. She herself comes from Bangladesh, came to Italy, like many of her compatriots, in search of a better life, and it so happened that she ended up in the house of our friends. They are both doctors; constant duty, operations and endless “advanced training” courses often keep them far from home. And since there is an old grandfather and teenage children at home (not teenagers anymore), a person was needed who could help run the household and care for the elderly lord.

    Now Shiromi is already part of the family and this house can no longer be imagined without her. The same as without her culinary creations. One day we tried rice with carrots and leeks. Extremely easy to prepare and very tasty. Shiromi shared the recipe and since then I have been preparing it often and with pleasure.

    But since there are men in the house and rice and vegetables alone will definitely not be enough for them, I slightly modified the recipe by adding meat. In today's version, pork, which, as you understand, would be absolutely unacceptable for Muslims. To give some exotic flavor to the rice with meat and vegetables, I also used soy sauce.

    Rice with meat and vegetables with oriental flavor

    The amount of ingredients is absolutely relative, be guided by your taste and needs. If you like vegetables, then add more of them, use meat of your choice. It can be veal, pork and chicken. the main thing is that it does not require long cooking. You can skip the meat altogether and then you will get wonderful, light and practically dietary rice with vegetables.

    For cooking REQUIRED:

    • 300 gr. basmati rice (at the rate of 80-100 grams of rice per person);
    • about 400 gr. meat (I used pork pulp, you can replace it with veal or chicken if desired);
    • 2 fairly large carrots;
    • 1 large leek;
    • a little soy sauce for marinating meat;
    • a little saffron (saffron is a seasoning or spice obtained from the stigmas of wild crocus. Imagine that you can collect it only one hour a day and only with your hands, hence its high cost). If you don't have saffron, cook without it.
    • vegetable oil;
    • salt and pepper to taste.

    PREPARATION:

    1. Cut the meat into thin strips, put it in a deep plate and add a little 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce. leave to marinate for 20-30 minutes

    If you are preparing rice with vegetables and without meat, then skip this passage and continue with the recipe.

    2. Vegetables: wash and peel carrots and leeks. Now the most important and difficult part of this recipe. Vegetables need to be cut into very thin strips. Do not use a regular grater, it will not give the desired result. if you have a grater like for Korean carrots, then use it, but you still have to cut the leeks by hand. We cut it into thin half rings.

    3. At the same time, let the rice cook in salted water. First, we rinse it, then fill it with cold water a finger above the level of the rice, add salt and bring to a boil. As soon as it boils, reduce the heat and cover with a lid. If we use saffron, then add it to the water, then the rice will acquire a beautiful yellow color and a light aroma. Cook until done. The water should be completely absorbed into the rice.

    4. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan. I took the wok. It allows you to significantly reduce the amount of oil used and the dish turns out not greasy. Now quickly fry the meat in hot oil over high heat.

    As soon as the meat is browned, remove it from the pan, putting it aside for a while in a pan or plate. Now put the vegetables in the remaining oil and fry them just as quickly, add a little salt

    As soon as the excess liquid has evaporated, combine the vegetables and already fried meat together

    5.And now almost everything is ready, all that remains is to add the rice, mix everything, add salt if necessary and pepper to your heart’s content if you like.

    Soy sauce and saffron add a subtle oriental taste and aroma to the dish, but without excess! You can and even should serve rice with meat and vegetables, accompanied by a salad of fresh tomatoes. Try it and you will see that with little effort and in a short time you can prepare a very tasty second course.

    If you don’t want to use meat, then simply skip all the operations associated with it. and in this case you won't need soy sauce. But it’s better to put saffron. When I tried this rice with vegetables for the first time, I cooked it 3-4 times in one week, after which the rest of the family said categorically “that’s it!” and demanded variety!

    1 red bell pepper;

    a handful of green beans;

    1 tbsp. l. ground sweet paprika;

    salt, spices - to taste;

    vegetable oil for frying.

    Cooking steps

    Wash the meat and dry with paper towels.

    Fry the meat in vegetable oil over high heat until golden brown on all sides.

    Chop the onion and carrots, add to the meat, fry everything together, stirring occasionally, for several minutes. Add a little water, about half a glass, cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 40-45 minutes.

    Chop the green beans and bell peppers, remove the skins from the tomatoes.

    Add beans, garlic and bell pepper to the meat, fry together for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Place in a saucepan and add hot water to cover the meat and vegetables by about 2 cm.

    Bring to a boil, add salt and spices.

    Place rice in a saucepan with meat and vegetables, place tomatoes on top. Boil.

    Cut the meat into small cubes.

    Add boiled warm water or meat broth to the meat so that the meat is completely covered with broth. Simmer the meat over low heat. Salt and pepper.

    After about 15 minutes, add carrots and onions, mix and simmer for about 40 minutes.

    About 5 minutes before cooking, add canned corn.

    Cooking rice.

    In order for the rice to turn out fluffy, it must be cooked correctly.

    It is necessary to rinse the rice in cold water.

    Bring the water to a boil and add the rice there. Salt. After about 3 minutes, reduce the heat to medium temperature and continue cooking. After 10-15 minutes, cook the rice over low heat until cooked.

    Important! Do not stir the rice while cooking. This will make it less tasty.

    Step 3

    Cooking eggs.

    With eggs everything is much simpler. We are preparing scrambled eggs.

    For each serving, we need one small portion of scrambled eggs from one egg, so it is best to cook each egg separately.

    Add vegetable oil to a hot frying pan, break 1 egg (to ensure you get a fried egg). Salt.

    And so we prepare 3 servings of scrambled eggs.

    After the meat, rice and eggs are cooked, we combine it all into one dish.

    For each serving you need: 3-4 tablespoons of rice, pour meat gravy with meat on top and spread with fried eggs.
